October Favourites

I know I haven’t blogged in a while, and it’s all been a bit random, but I thought I would do an easy one to get myself back into it. I am waiting for a baby to be born, which is exciting but also frustrating and at times boring, so blogging might be a good way to pass the time!

So, in no particular order, here are the things I’ve been loving this month.

Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte – I was going to write Costa Gingerbread muffins, but I remembered I already mentioned them last year in a favourites blog… they are still a massive favourite though. I can’t get enough of them. But PSL season is upon us and I’ve enjoyed rather a few (decaf) ones this month!

Soap and Glory Smoothie Star – this stuff smells INCREDIBLE. Not only that, it feels so nice and leaves my legs moisturised all day. Someone touched my leg the other day (by accident) and said how soft it was. True story!

American Horror Story – I’ve tried to watch this twice before but got bored, or scared, so I decided now was the time to woman up and make it past the second episode. And I’m so glad I did. I’m now halfway through series 3, and I couldn’t love it any more than I do. My favourite character is, without fail, whoever Jessica Lange happens to be playing in whichever series I’m watching. I love that woman. It’s bordering on obsession. If you like teen movies/ series, and also horror (and I mean like 18+, grim, fascinating horror) then this will be the series for you. I promise.

The Couple Next Door, by Shari Lapena – I read this book in a single sitting. I don’t think I’ve done that since the Harry Potter books were released, but I literally couldn’t get enough. It took me about 7 hours, but I stopped for food and for a bit of a break halfway though. I’m not going into detail about the plot because I think I’m going to write a review in the next week or so.

Yankee Home Sweet Home Meltcup – I was bought a Yankee Scenterpiece by a friend a few years ago when we moved into our house, and I love it. I will love it even more when the baby arrives, as you aren’t really meant to burn candles around newborns, because of the soot and ash that gets into the atmosphere. So melting scented wax is where it’s at, and I’ve had so many compliments from this scent! Mainly cinnamon, it just has a wintery smell that fills the whole downstairs.

So that’s it for this month, short and sweet! I’ll probably be back in the next few days with more to say on stuff, but for now, I hope October has been nice and have a Spooky/ Happy Halloween tomorrow!
